Key Executive

Director: Dr. G. P. Govil, B. E. (Mech.), Punjab University, M.Tech from IIT Delhi,Ph.D. He has 38 years of experience in teaching, research & industry. He has taught in India & abroad and has made various projects for Government, Semi Government and Private organizations. He has worked in BEL Ghaziabad on a RADAR project which is presently known as “INDRA RADAR”. His papers have been published in various journals and magazines of repute. He has participated and presented his research papers in many International and National conferences.

Laboratories

Library

The Institute has a rich collection of books and Journals in the Central library laid out in an area of over 795 sq.m. with a seating capacity of 250 students. The library has a total of rich set of volumes and titles of books on various subjects. In addition, the book bank also has a good number of books and titles. Each of the department also has exclusive library meeting the specific needs of the departments. The library also subscribes to online journals, National and International journals, besides 11 newspapers and 14 magazines.It has a fully automated  facility including search, reservation, issue and receipt, etc and 1700 CD ROMs.

Hostels

Separate Boys Hostel for 400 students and girls hostel for 250 students with all amenities in the campus. The Campus as well as the Hostel is wi-fi enabled.Indoor Game and 24 hrs Electricity are also provided.

INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL

Department of Computer Science & Engineering
The Department has a team of qualified, experienced and talented faculty members. The Department has 12 well maintained computer Labs equipped with latest soft wares, Printers, Scanners and latest digital equipments. All the computers are on LAN, which is connected to Internet, having advanced servers and 10 Mbps optical fibre connectivity.

Department of Information Technology
The Department of possesses well qualified and experienced faculty members from various reputed technical Institutions. It has four well equipped computer labs supported by 10 Mbps Internet on optical fiber backbone with advanced servers. Teaching Learning process is interactive supported by LCD and OH Projectors. The Department has a separate Library. The Project Lab has various new soft wares for live projects.

Department of Electronics and Communication
The Department comprises 14 state-of-the art laboratories which fulfill the practical needs of the curriculum. The CAD LAB off ers students unlimited opportunities to create and simulate circuits of their fancy.

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering
The Department comprises 13 state-of-the art laboratories which fulfill the intellectual aspirations of the students. The electrical simulation lab equipped with the latest version of CAD, PSPICE, MATLAB and Lab VIEW which encourages students to innovate. The Department also provides training to the students based on PLC & SCADA with the cooperation of SOFCON India Pvt. Ltd., Noida for better prospects.

Department of Civil Engineering
Well qualified faculty members impart quality education with a vision to produce great Civil Engineers who will become assets to our nation in the near future.cater to the needs of students who nurture hopes of becoming world class engineers. Ideal Robotics Club

The I-Robotics Club was established in October, 2009 for initiation of multi disciplinary technical activities. The club organized a Workshop on “Embedded System and Robotics Design”, from 4 -6 November, 2009, in which 58 participants from various colleges of UPTU participated. The aim of the workshop was to make the students aware of robotics and embedded system design and also to develop a mobile phone controlled robotic vehicle. After the successful completion of the workshop, the club organized a robotic event “Robo-Mania 2009”, on 13 November,2009. In this event different types of robotic races/ fights competitions were held. The club members recently developed an unmanned wireless operated surveillance vehicle (Maruti - Omni Van).

Entrepreneurship Development Cell

An Entrepreneurship Development Cell has been established in the Institute with the primary objective of developing entrepreneurial skills in the students and make them self dependent. With these objectives, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell organized a three day Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp in the institute from 24 to 26 February, 2009, with technical and financial support of Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. Further in order to Promote the activities of the Cell, the Institute has already applied for financial support from AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India under the EDC scheme.

Institution of Engineers

The Institute has created an International platform for its students by starting the Institution of Engineers (India) Students’ Chapter and the students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electronics & Communication .

Industry Institute Interface

Regular workshops, seminars and guest lectures are arranged to make the students aware of the Industry expectations. The has an R & D Cell where a diesel engine has been converted to operate in three modes i.e. 100% gas, 100% diesel and dual fuel mode which are very relevant for rural application and its patent has been applied.

Training & Placement Activities

The T&P Cell at Ideal Institute of Technology makes earnest efforts to make the students land up in their dream jobs, before they pass out of the college. PDP classes, Mock tests, Group Discussions, Technical quizes, Aptitude tests etc. are regularly conducted to create a cordial atmosphere for the students to finetune their inherent talents. The Cell is ably supported by experienced personnel from the Industry and Marketing field who play a pivotal role in helping the students to acquire necessary skills for securing their dream jobs. Regular industrial visits are organized for giving practical exposure to the students. As a result, the students gain not only competence but also confidence which are absolutely vital for clinching the final placement.
